tents.

Monday, May 17, 2010
I want to go here.
Not live here, but stay a while.

What is it about tents that's just so inviting and mystical?

the face of guilt

Thursday, May 13, 2010
In honor of my beautiful little sister-in-law's high school graduation coming up, it was time to dive into the baby pictures.

See the FROSTED cupcakes to the left on the cupcake tier?
See the UNFROSTED cupcakes in front of that sweet little face, and the chocolate in the corners of her mouth?

Yeah. You figure it out.
Love you, Talya! We're so proud of you!

"it's all cued up"

Tuesday, May 11, 2010
Back in the summer of 2006, Tyler and I were both working at camp.
I was the media girl, he was the waterfront guy.
My job often required late, late nights for me, and getting up early to tape the precious little
Polar Bears (sleepy campers who just woke up jumping into the lake) didn't always happen.
Tyler said to me one day during free time on the pontoon,
"Hey if you ever want me to tape Polar Bears (sleepy campers who just woke up jumping in the lake) for you, I can... I'm out there anyway".
To which I remember thinking, "This guy's a genius! Why didn't I think of that!"
I told him that would be great... but I only needed about 30 seconds of film....
and since he was the lifeguard, I didn't want him distracted from his job.
I decided to take him up on that offer, and as I walked back to my room late
one night, I taped this to his door.
He pulled it out the other night.
He kept it :)

"them's fightin' words"

Wednesday, May 05, 2010
So apparently... my sister wasn't a huge fan of me from at least 1994-1996.
My parents are doing a huge garage sale in July so told us to come home and go through all of our stuff or it will "magically" be gone. Kaitlyn was sorting this weekend and found her old diaries... Here's what she found:

Take special note of the word underlined in red.
Do you know what it says?

And my personal favorite...

Well... I read them. So apparently I'm a dead ham?
Oh Kaitlyn... a funny girl you are!
The funny thing is these are all words I know we were not allowed to say when we were 7 and 10 years old :)

Thankfully.... that was just a phase.
Now she leaves me notes like,
"Thanks for letting me come for lunch"
or
"Thanks for letting me sleepover and do laundry... I love you sissy!"

Yeah... Thank goodness things have changed :)
